About the Press

To support the National Education Goals contained in the National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003, and Law No. 12 of 2012 concerning the Implementation of Higher Education which is the basis for organizing educational activities in Higher Education as contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3 of the Year 2020 concerning the National Standards for Higher Education, as well as the rules for increasing the academic position of lecturers in the Regulation of the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform No. 17 of 2013 concerning Functional Positions for Lecturers and their credit scores, formulates the obligations of universities, teachers, researchers and education staff to produce learning and research results as evidence of the learning process and promotion to a position level. The intended form of output can be in the form of publishing research results in the form of journal articles, as well as in the form of books or monographs.

To support the educational goals mentioned above, based on Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 66 of 2010 Pelita Harapan University Foundation Regulation Number 032/SKYUPH/2016 concerning Pelita Harapan University Statutes of 2016, a publishing institution within the scope of Pelita Harapan University was formed under the name UPH Press based on the Chancellor's Decree Number 101A/SKR-UPH/VIII/2022. In carrying out its operational activities, UPH Press refers to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2017 concerning the Bookkeeping System.

By referring to the several quality standards above, UPH Press is obliged to regulate, manage, and measure the performance of UPH Press and its staff, so that maximum work results are created and UPH Press can carry out its functions effectively in accordance with national standards and support UPH's vision and mission.
